Dianemo System Update - DPMS Control of Displays
« Reply #180 on: September 23, 2011, 09:31:48 am »
Dianemo now supports using DPMS to control video displays allowing you to control displays without the need for IR, RS232 or IP control interfaces. Please note not all displays  support DPMS. See the Dianemo S10.10 Wiki page for details;

http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Dianemo_S10.10#DPMS_control_of_computer_monitors

As usual you should run the update script as described on the Dianemo S10.10 Wiki page to update your system.

All the best

Dianemo 10.10 Systems from CHT - Now Shipping World Wide!
« Reply #181 on: September 26, 2011, 09:11:18 pm »
We are currently working on adding support for BTicino bus based Home Automation devices to Dianemo. Initially we will support Lighting, Audio Input, Amplifier and Radio devices. We will add additional support to extend the BTicino device template for other device types as customers request them or if they extend the device template themselves.

Anyone with BTicino expertise or interest in adding devices meeting this standard should drop me a line here on the Forum.

Thanks to Forum member aico for his initial template design and for allowing us to use his system for debugging and testing.

Expect a release of the BTicino Device support within the next few days.

All the best

It is Mr Nag Nag here again: Can we expect the driver for LinuxMCE as well, or will it be another USP (Unique Selling Point) for Dianemo?

« Reply #186 on: September 27, 2011, 09:35:23 pm »
Dianemo System Update - Enhanced Dusky Sky Box Device
We have extended support for Dusky Skybox controllers. The Dusky device is now compatible with either the USB or RS232 Dusky Sky box control interfaces. The Dusky also optionally supports the capture of current program data that is automatically output from a Sky Box's RS232 port - this EPG data is display on the Home Screen of any Orbiter that is set to the Room that the Sky Box is located in.

Dianemo System Update - Le Grand BTicino Device with full 2-way capability
« Reply #187 on: September 27, 2011, 10:20:49 pm »
Dianemo System Update - Le Grand BTicino Device with full 2-way capability
With the release of the Dianemo BTicino Device Dianemo systems can now deliver full 2-way interactive interfaces to LeGrand BTicino MyHome systems. Initially the BTicino device supports Lighting, Audio, Video devices. We will be adding additional support for additional BTicino hardware in the coming weeks. Because the BTicino device template is very simple to extend and enhance we expect many Dianemo users to extend the device to integrate additional device types.

Dianemo System Update - AVwizard Support for Multiple Sound Cards
« Reply #188 on: October 10, 2011, 09:46:12 am »
We have added a new screen to the AVWizard to allow you to select the sound card you want to use before you choose the audio connector. This particularly useful for configuring modern nVidia cards like the GT220 etc that have on-board sound cards as you can now select that sound card in preference for the motherboards on-board sound card for example. Another situation where this new feature in the AVwizard comes into play is where you have several sound cards some of which will be used as Squeezeslaves.

We also squashed a bug which sometimes caused the AVwizard to lockup during the DTS test process.

As usual you should run the update script as described on the Dianemo S10.10 Wiki page to update your system;

Andrew,
          I have an older Dianemo system which I am very happy with. However, it's time to upgrade my NAS. I have recently purchased a Javelin NAS which was recommended by one of your people.
 Trouble is, I'm not sure how to configure it. I tried to use a Buffalo NAS previously, but had problems. The system locked up and had to be rebooted.
Your tech support guys said that Dianemo had trouble with Samba shares.

So I'm afraid to put the Javelin NAS on the network until I know how it should be configured. Help?

Duncan

Hi Andrew, I'm still working my way through issues with LMCE 10.04, but am very tempted to just switch over to Dianemo S10.10.  Does your system support analogue tuners in a TV card?  I have a hauppauge 2200 which has dual tuners, both analogue and digital.  Most of the channels here in Poland are still analogue, and whilst I have my UK Sky tv integrated with a HDPVR, the wife still watches the Polish channels. If we could integrate that into the system I'd be sold on the Dianemo solution.

One other question I have, regarding the Black Knight IP cameras.  I notice in your demo videos on the website that you have the white ones, are these a straight forward inclusion in Dianemo? LMCE forces me to use motion to integrate them, and in 10.04 its not working ATM.
Thanks.
Matt.

Unfortunately no. We have no Spanish language support currently. We may have an update on that though early in 2012.

Andrew,
           Are you still upgrading the Dianemo systems based on 7.10? Do you recommend I should update my system to 10.10 to gain access to the additional features?

Tnanks
