Takeing your comments into account i was thinking of using either a Gigabyte MoBo with AMD2+ socket and a Dual Core 3100.
MoBo wise would you recommend a NVIDIA nForce 750a SLI or NVIDIA GeForce 8200 chipset.
I am trying to future proof my Hybrid a little, but in the end once I get my head around the networking thing the hybrid will run our home plamsa and network to everything else.
The AMD and Gigabyte things is just a personal preference, but I am willing to change for a better deal, including less pain on the setup side of things.
I am looking at setting up a Hybrid and I have a huge amount of home video (read 3TB at last count, yes I know I am a little carmera happy with my three kids) So number of HDD that I can plug onboard is a bit of a thing here. The more the better. I am after a full size MoBo with at least 6 HDD ports (prefer 8 though).
As always the money thing is a little difficult so if I can future proof a little, keep the complexity down (Im a newbie), and ballance that all with the low budget.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Chad
