Kubuntu 8.10 reached end of life a year and a half ago. I'm having a hard time sorting out which parts of the different installation procedures that I'm supposed to follow to install and then update and/or upgrade Kubuntu so I can install LinuxMCE (that I've been wanting to try for a long time)! 
Any chance of publishing an image that's ready to go with all the sources corrected, or, one proven step by step installation procedure (that can even be followed by non-guru types)?
