Ok with a little assistance from the Unrecognized Nic wiki entry and the latest src for the e1000e from http://sourceforge.net/projects/e1000/files/?source=navbar I have managed to create a new MD, the NUC boots, and I am presented with Failed to setup X.

I will now try to compile the modules for the intel graphics card HD 4000 :P

Just  borrowed one of these to give it a shot, firstly I tried to PXE boot it as an MD, it unfortunately kernel panics;

Kernel Panic - not syncing: Attempt to kill init!
Pid: 1, comm: init Not tainted 2.6.32-44-generic #98-Ubuntu

Any ideas?

Hey Guys,

Sorry to dig up an old thread, I thought it would be better to reply to this one than start a new one.
I finally got around to installing my HDHomerun DVB-T. I had to scan for the channels manually but after that, I seem to be getting the same permissions error.

Thanks,  I might give one a go and see how it fairs.
Should use a lot less power than my current clunker (core2duo)
The only think I was concerned about was the graphics, intel HD 4000.

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone has tried using an intel nuc for an MD?
I was going to look at using one as a core, however it would require a USB Ethernet adapter.
Keen to hear others thoughts on this?

Yup,

POE from my switch stepped down to 5v.
When they launched the Touchpad here it was around the same time they decided to pack it in so I picked up mine for $99

Hey Jamo,

Just thought I would chime in here, I have a HP Touchpad mounted in my wall. I use a Modified USB cable to a POE Step down convertor that then plugs into my Switch.
It works rather well running android. I have just upgraded to CM10 as qOrbiter is meant to be a little bit more stable on it. So far I think the Linuxmce Orbiter posted here: http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php/topic,13064.0.html is a little more reliable.

I will post pics later if interested.

How about a way to import a backup pre-wizard?

Users / Pioneer Receivers RS232 On issue work around.
October 30, 2012, 06:36:05 PM
Hey All,
This is just an FYI for anyone else who has a Pioneer receiver and wants to control it via RS232.
I have a VSX-23 and found that no matter what I did I couldn't get it to turn on using an Orbiter. Turns out you must first send a <CR> wait 100ms Then issue the on Command.
So I had to change the Power on Code in A/V Properties to

<$"\r\s100m\rPO\r"$>
sleep(5)

Just an update in the hopes someone may be able to help me.
I have been trying to figure out why qOrbiter would work when it is freshly installed (config changed to suit my setup). But fail every time after...

These are my logs;

Success start : http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=ss2t5bhQ

When pressing Exit Orbiter : http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=JDp1idZd

Failed start : http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=4TAvQUBs

I will keep plodding away and report here if I am successful :P

Users / Ubiquiti Aircam
June 13, 2012, 02:15:17 PM
Hey All,
Not sure if anyone would be interested in this, but a friend an I have been writing a GSD for the Aircam.

So far this is what we have (it is functional, sort of).

http://pastebin.com/UsYtfgMs

For the most part we just replicated the settings for the Axis Camera but the Get Video frame is different (as above).
We did have to install libwww-mechanize-ruby and add a new parameter for the IP Address because we couldn't figure out how to extract that easily. Device 229 on my system.
Any feedback / advise to make it better would be appreciated.
FWIW the air cams use cookies. If Y'all don't mind I will make a wiki entry.
