Try checking your BIOS voltage settings for the memory.  I have the same MB & had nightmares trying to get it up & running until I discovered that the auto settings topped out at 1.91V (I think) and my OCZ memory needed 2.21V.  Changing it from auto to manual & adjusting the settings worked wonders for it.

Thanks DGKing. I think that is the problem with mine also. It did not work at 2.0v for DDR2 which I already tried. I did not feel very comfortable jacking up the memory voltage further because it worked fine in other machines. After reading your post, I increased the memory voltage to 2.25v and now the replacement board does boot fine (with an idle power consumption of about 37W). But my original board still does not work, it still keeps re-starting. But it worked the first time I tried after increasing the voltage!

I am sure I can get at least one of these boards work with increased DDR2 voltage. This has been my worst experience while assembling a computer in 10 years.

I'm using a silverstone HTPC case with their included 220W power supply.  You're not using the new v19 BIOS are you?  I've seen posts about (and experienced) some severe problems with that BIOS.

I tried both version 15 and 19 of BIOS with the same results. I guess I have to buy a different PSU to prove whether or not that is the issue.

What do you mean by 'it does not boot?'  Do you get no POST screen?

Yes. In fact it does POST and boot into Windows Vista if I clear the CMOS and I can re-start the machine any number of times. If I shutdown the machine and re-start it won't POST until I clear the CMOS again. When I posted this issue in the Abit support forum (http://forum.uabit.com/showthread.php?p=940837#post940837), I was told that PSU is inadequate for this mobo.

What kind of Power Supply do you use with this motherboard?

I am building a new HTPC based on AN-M2HD. It does not boot. I tried everything I can think of except changing the PSU. PSU is Antec 430W. What PSU you guys are using with this motherboard?

Not they are not and i dont think it is possible to make a diskless md over wifi this is way.
If you need to load the full system from pxe you'll probably find that the md will be unusable because not enough bandwidth over wifi and too much packet dropping, nfs mounts are bad enough on disked md's over wifi i avoid using the nfs shares and that's how i get this to work.

Oh! That's right even boot image has to be delivered over the network! I was trying to find out if it is possible to squeeze a boot loader with network driver so that it can boot over wireless.

How about wireless HDMI (from MD to TV)? TZero has ZeroWire products using UWB like a wireless/TV adapter and a wireless miniPCI card. Since UWB is a different band than WiFi, the MD bandwidth to the core doesn't compete with HDMI bandwidth, and no wires (except power). Anyone using any of that kind of stuff?

Is it available for purchase?  I am sure the pricing will be beyond me!

I just ran a very long HDMI cable (75 ft) so that I could use my DirecTV HD-DVR from two different locations - one in the basement family room and the other in the second level loft. Even though the rooms are on the same side of the house there was no way to run the cable straight up. ZeroWire product would have been a perfect solution!

- installing kubuntu, setup the wireless card (i do this editing /etc/network/interfaces manually because i can't use network manager with my ralink rt2500)

auto eth1
iface eth1 inet dhcp
        wireless-essid SOMETHING
        wireless-key 2ADXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

 /etc/init.d/networking restart ( make a copy of interfaces since hte installer will change it removing the essid and the key (which is a paint cause i dont happen to know my wifi key by heart)

I read in another thread that it is possible to have diskless MDs even with wireless netwoking. I would really like to build at least one wirelss MD.

It requires BIOS to be able to use a wireless card without a driver, am I right? None of my wireless does network boot from wireless card. Which wireless cards (or chipsets) support diskless MD?

I read somewhere that you can have a simple Linux boot loader on a floppy with just the network driver and use that to do a network boot. Anybody tried that kind of a MD setup before?

from main menu:

* Select Media->Manage Drives
* Select Jukebox to load from Jukeboxes list
* click Load Many button
* Cram 50 discs in

after which, I typically do an ID, to make sure that cover art will be gotten... check the results in the video list, and then go back to manage drives, to select Rip All.

There IS a visual bug where more than 6 discs will show up strange in the data grid. However, all discs will rip and/or play correctly.

Did you upgrade firmware? (I remember that you told me, in another post, I do not have to upgrade firmware).
This is my second unit. The first one had gone bad and waiting for Sony to fix it.

Can you please explain me (the steps) how would you load, say 50, DVDs in a new changer? TIA

It seems to load and ID all disks except the last one.

I have seen a similar issue too. Even after ejecting all the DVDs LMCE still says that there is one in the changer which is already loaded and ready to read. But if you click the play button (in the manage drive screen) it does not play!

I could not get Sony DVD changer working 100% with LMCE. But the same setup works fine with Vista Media Center.

This is what I did.

Vista
====
1. Power up DVD changer
2. Insert 35 DVDs into the changer by pressing "Load" button (in front of the changer) for each of the DVD
3. Hooked to PC using a firewire cable
4. Start the PC as Vista Premium
5. Navigate to DVD Library and manage discs and Vista come up with a prompt saying that it needs to catalog new DVDs and it might take a while and all that. When you click Ok to that message Vista retrieves movie/song information off internet. After about 10 minutes cataloging is completed and you can browse all the 35 DVDs and watch the one you want.

Now I continued this setup in to LMCE

1. Shut down computer
2. Power cycle DVD Changer.
3. Restart the machine in LMCE
4. In LMCE go to Manage Drive for DVD changer
5. LMCE reports that there are 13 discs in the box (there were in fact 35 of them) ==> PROBLEM#1
6. To check if it can read DVD datal I clicked the play button on the top side box in the same screen (which shows the currently loaded title), LMCE complains that it could not play the disc and there may not be any disc present or something like that. ==> PROBLEM#2

I have to load this DVD changer with about 150 DVDs and catalog them so that it can be shared among all the MDs.
What am I doing wrong? Any comments would be appreciated.

Without knowing the complexity involved in porting such a huge project, I would say that LinuxMCE should have been like GeeXboX! Even if that require restricting hardware options.
