don't have much to say other than get the drives as big as you can 1TB as the more disks you have the more power you use to spin the little suckers up the drives cost more upfront but will save in the long run man if you run a core 24/7 make you cash back in no time good luck getting it "smooth" man.

yeah i wanted to save power and i really do not see the point of running some thing when you do not use it. Like would you or I run my/our car all the time for the 2 or 3 times a day we use it ? nah same with my PC's. Hibernation feature would make it more like normal entertainment systems tv or dvd. i want to use it. i turn it on. 10 seconds later im using that device and it is not chugging down power needlessly while i don't want to use it. less money to pay and the environment will thank us all for powering down.

the planet is taking a good beating with this virus we named human beings we are like a scourge on the earth  with us thinking of more and more ways th choke out the one thing we all came from. im not religious at all but earth = god in every sense of the word.save mother earth one power down at a time lol   

a hibernation button labeled fast shut down or something would be a massive time saver.
i have been reading about hibernation and ubuntu and it does look like it has problems finding the hibernation file on boot but like all things it is fixable see below

Zaerc cannot help but say something rude to some one who is new it is just his style. worthless as the above comment is (made by Zaerc) i think what he is trying to say is some thing like this read before you post LinuxMCE is not complete so do not expect the world from it. in my experience and it is limited linuxmce is fun to play with. but is so far from seamless i laugh every time i see the demo video.

im in Australia and im just glad they even put our country in as an option.like whats the point we lose all the usefull features as there is no EPG in this shit hole (bar http://www.icetv.com.au/ and i am not payin for that ) 

buy a cheep realtek network card  reinstall that would be easy

it is probably config more than drivers from what im reading.also ever one is asking "have you got the latest bios for the mo/bo".So i guessing you should flash it if you have not already.this cant hurt

any one got no problems with their Linux MCE ? ( i got my share this is why im asking to see if it is worth going on or just waiting till it is more stable)

cyf4746 had a similar problem till i updated to the correct driver for my video card. found out how to do it on the Ubuntu forums.good luck 

guys i don't know jack she-hit about linux.and my  linuxmce box is running fine the hardest thing was trying to download it. Man the mirrors are as much fun as sucking dog shit threw a straw. They are slow as hell, and are up and down like a a bunch of yo yo's. The linuxmce runs fine. all tho the Kubuntu is`another story it is sluggish. the only problem i had was with my display driver coz i have a ATI 9600xt in the box and linuxmce did not run with a versa driver a bit of research on the Ubuntu forums and boom all is good. linux mce is not seamless but is totally usable.
just give it a go man.

now just lnstall the 2 Linux MCE CD'S over the top and your done. (you may need to install disply drivers for you video card )
