USB-UIRT device not started
« on: April 16, 2010, 05:57:18 pm »
I have added a USB-UIRT to 810 beta and it is all there in the web interface but does not start at all. There is nothing about it in the App_Server log, and the devices are not disabled. Where else could I look?

Starting /usr/pluto/bin/USB_UIRT_0038 manually works and I can learn codes etc.

Regards,

Chris

Hi Chris,

I have a fully working USBUIRT in 810. All I can suggest is deleting the device in web admin and trying again.

That didn't work, so I reinstalled. Everything started working but now it has failed again! :-(

Looks like reinstalling again. I really wish there for some way of debugging this. The device is not disabled in the web admin, but it is never started. No log in /var/log/pluto/<device_id>_blahblah is every created so I can't look there!

Have you tried removing it and plugging it into a different USB port?

Yeah. The issue is not just confined to the USB-UIRT. My LMCe install is not automatically starting Generic Serial Devices either. I really wish I knew how to debug this. I can't even find the right log file. Is it the App Server which starts other devices like these?
