Just got Pvr 150- Need Help

Ok so I just got my Win-Pvr-150 card 
I put it in my hybrid, Booted up the hybrid and it detected it and installed everything it needed.
Where do I go from here to set it up?

Im using the RF out of my sky box into the Tuner port of the card (I will go s-video) at some stage....

I have been messing about with Mytv Tv setup trying to do capture card but im totally lost with this area as i have never installed a tuner card!!

Any help on how to get this going would be wonderful..

Just let Sarah take care of it.

Use the Setup to add your sky box and tell her it's connected to the input on the PVR-150. I'm not sure the coax will work though, you'll have to make it tune to the (ch3-4) channel somehow, no clue how to make it do that. hooking it to s-video should be fine.

cant use s-video (cable issue) so need to use the tuner!! any suggestions
I just got the card working on my Windows MC so rules out that the card aint working.
How do you 'tune' the card or search for channels like Windows MC as this is how I got it to work there?

Ok so I have been reading some posts on this issue.
I am living in Ireland so should I have setup VDR instead of MythTv, they were old posts so not sure if its still relevant!!

Mythtv should work OK. Just scan for channels on the tuner. You need to run the mythtv setup (backend) and select the pvr150 analogue tuner and run a full scan.

The reception won't be that good but it sound like it's all you've got at the moment. I'm using s-video.

ok im struggling to get anything on myth tv!!! is there a step im missing when trying to setup the capture card with the antenna input??
I try to scan for channels but it never moves past 0%??? totally lost!

Have you added 'tuner 1' as the capture source. According to this page you need to tune to channel 3 as rperre said. Never done this but I think you'll find more info if you google.

Why I run the Setup Wizard and select Software and then Myth TV and I choose my antenna port Sarah asks me what this is connected to!! The only option I get is a Camera that I have setup with the motion wrapper!!

Do I need to add a cable box before I run the setup wizard??

If so how do I do this for a SKY box as I cannot see that in the list Sarah gives me!

This is from memory but ..... I don't think you need to add a sky box as an av device through Sarah. Just complete the mythtv setup without av devices. All you need to do is configure the tuner in mythtv.

How would you control the sky box if you do not add it as a device.

Add it as a device first and do the same you did now.

Of course rperre is right. You will need to add the device in web admin in order for it to be visible in the wizard (Sarah).

My earlier post would not allow you to control the sky box.

So im still trying to use the Tuner part of my Pvr150!!! however im having no luck getting it to scan for channels!!
I set the channel to 3 and hit scan for channels but it just sits there on 0% and does nothing...any ideas?

Analogue Tuner scanning is broken in MythTV 0.22. We are trying to back-port 0.23. Want to help? or is everyone just content with screaming at us until it's done?

ah thats good to know, least there is a logical reason i cannot get it to work....can i install a version that will work on my current install?
