installed but dce router hangs ?

im so happy i finally got pluto up and running but with one major problem !
 on the boot up screen DCE router hangs , ive pluged up the network ,ive
 unpluged the network ,i rebooted and tried both ways ,waited hours ,etc,,,

 also ive read that folks have had the same problems but after trying what was suggested im still stuck !   any ideas or suggestions ?   i have had an older version of pluto running on the same machine so im really confused !

im able to drop to shell and after running dhclient i can ping google ,etc,,
 but still lost ?
