Ive got Mythtv configured to work with my DirectTV STB using the composite connector. My STB box is set to send signal via Channel 3. When I change the channels on my STB via the directv remote, the channel changing is slow on the Core/Hybrid. When I change the channel on the remote, it takes about 5 secs or so to actually change on the core/hybrid. Any suggestions/comments ?

Thanks in advance

Hi tjadhav,

This is a side affect of how MythTV works and not a fault or lack of performance in LinuxMCE. MythTV is always buffering the LiveTV channel you are currently watching live so that you can at anytime rewind to an earlier part of the program (this only works upto the moment where you switched to the current channel). Consequently this live 'buffer' is always several seconds behind the actual live feed of the capture source you are using (in this case your DirectTV box).

Hope the above explains whats causing this effect.

Kindest regards
