Does mce support USB-rs232 convertors?

My motherboard only supports 1xrs232 port which isnt going to be enough for what i have planned.  Does MCE support usb-rs232 convertors?

Some of them.

I tried the Belkin usb>serial adapters and they didn't work.  The Simpletech adapters however, were plug and play.

Anything that uses the PL2303 chip (Prolific Technology) will work fine, plug and play.

It's not always obvious which adapters are using which chips.  I can confirm that the last two Startech ICUSB232 adapters that I have purchased use the PL2303.  That adapter seems to be readily available in Canada at least.
