Howto make the DVBworld HD-2400 DVB-S2 USB adapter work under LinuxMCE-0710

The DVBworld HD-2104 is an external single tuner DVB-S2 USB box. With updated V4L libs and firmware it works well under LinuxMCE-0710. I have added the following brief Wiki article that explains how to get this tuner working on your system (includes URL's to pre-built libs and firmware). With the updated V4L lib and firmware this tuner is fully Plug-n-Play :-)

Colin we have not tested the DVBWorld DVB-S2 CI/CAM USB box but it is based on the same hardware apart from the CI/CAM adapter. Therefore from a DVB perspective it will work i am sure.

Hi Posde,

We have note tested the S2 side of this adapter yet... but I am sure that it will work with S2 channels fine with vdr-1.7.7 or later. We plan to test this configuration in the next week or so and i will report our experiences here once we have.

Hi,

Well we have done some very basic tests in VDR and the HD-2400 adapter seems to work fine. However since there are know services here in the UK that are currently using S2 we have not done any more work on this as of yet.
