VDR-How far have things got?
« on: April 16, 2009, 02:15:46 pm »
Hi guys

I have been away for a while and not been keeping up on progress on Linuxmce.

I am planning on upgrading my system to latest version, probably the 0704 Final.
Can anyone tell me how far the VDR integration has got on this version?
Mainly is it working on the media directors to be able to watch different channels from the core?

Regards

The current version of LinuxMCE is 0710. LinuxMCE-0810 is in Alpha testing phase now.

vdr in LinuxMCE-0710 does not work out of the box on MD's - in 0810 Betas it will do will have other enhancements too.

All the best

Hi

Thanks for the reply TotallyMaxed.

Can it be made to work on 0710? If so do you have link to instructions.

Is this the right thing to be following for getting VDR to work on your MDs? http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/VDR_Manual_Install

Just wondering, do I only need to carry out the MD part of this page if I have already completed the VDR installation on my core (following these instructions http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/VDR)?
