Subtitles gone on one MD, but not on the other??

Was wondering if somebody has seen this before: out of the blue my livingroom MD stopt showing subtitles. When I play the movie on another MD, voila subtitles available. Moving the movie from the working MD to my livingroom MD -> subtitles disappear 

So I will do the obvious because I think maybe the MD has corrupted itself: MD reboot (done, no result); core reboot (done, no result); rebuilt MD (today).

But still: Has anybody encountered this before?

Rebuild did not help as well, so I deleted the whole MD from the web interface. After that booted the MD and made a shiny new build. That worked at least. My conclusion so far: corrupted MD.
