Mobile Orbiter Users: new VMC
« on: December 09, 2008, 01:41:50 pm »
I have a new VMC I'd like you all to try:

http://www.localeconcept.com/pub/Symbian%20Series%2060%20mobile.vmc

This is a new VMC with much better graphics, to show what is possible when the phone is in offline mode.

To use, simply copy to /usr/pluto/bin, and reload router. The VMC will be pushed to the phone again, the next time the phone binds to the house.

I will be posting material soon on how to use VIPDesign to design new VMCs for this purpose.

Agree, it's much nicer....

BTW, some time ago I described problems that arise when you have more than 10 mobile scenarios defined...

http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=6168.0

Beware, it seems that not only first 10 mobile scenarios are displayed, but false scenarios appear under numbers. So you could start completely another scenario than shown...

Not sure how hard it is to fix that , maybe suggestion: to display  first 9 scenarios and a link to existing web page with all scenarios...

Regards,

Bulek.
Thanks in advance,

regards,

Bulek.

programming is not a skill that comes with mothers milk. It is achieved by learning and practise :-)

So guys, please don't say: "I can't program" but "I don't want to invest the time to learn how to program"
