DCERouter not starting after reboot

Hello,

  I receive my USB IR Transceiver yesterday, I was going through setting up the AV devices attached to the MD and set up a test media scenario. This morning I rebooted my core and found that I the DCERouter will not start. I've since backed out all configuration changes I've made yesterday and have attempted the solutions recommended by previous posts.

  I've searched the previous posts and attempted to disable the mythtv plugin and other plugins, but re-enabled when that did not work. I'm not certain what the issue is, would anyone be able to point me in the right direction of a more verbose log or suggest an idea on what the issue may be?

have you recompiled anything? this is indicative that the sql2cpp libraries that access the database aren't in synch anymore.

Hi Thom, I have not recompiled anything, just made some changes via the admin website. No system level changes have been made between the last successful start yesterday and this morning. Do you have any suggestions on next steps for troubleshooting?

Upon further consideration, it is possible the router was recompiled as a byproduct of the scripts I  was running in /usr/pluto/bin/ this morning trying to troubleshoot the original issue. Thoughts?

That is not very likely, but this upcoming new trend in trying to "fix" things by randomly running scripts found in /usr/pluto/bin does worry me a bit.

Yes, definitely, sorting this kind of incidental problem will likely be way more effort, even for a skilled lmce hacker.

Actually, I'd be curious of what you did to get a broken foreign key. According to your long post, something's pointing to an inexistend entry in the MediaType table, and it does so from the MediaType_DesignObj table.

No randomly ran scripts from /usr/pluto/bin should do that.

How good are you with SQL? Are you able to join those two tables and find out what's going on?

You should run these on your database:

SELECT PK_MediaType FROM MediaType;
just to make sure the entries are all there. You should get about 26 rows with numbers from 1 to 29, with a few holes. If this is wrong, that's nasty.

If this is fine, run this:

SELECT * FROM MediaType_DesignObj WHERE FK_MediaType NOT IN (SELECT PK_MediaType FROM MediaType);
It shouldn't return anything. In my case it returns a row, because I added there, and it will probably break my build tomorrow with exactly the same error that you get.
