UI2 Freezes after booting
« on: December 02, 2008, 04:08:47 am »
I finally got MCE installed and setup for the second time, but after it booted up, the UI2 interface was frozen. I could move my mouse around, but couldn't click on anything. Is there anyway to switch to the UI1 interface without using the UI2, perhaps at startup??

Its an odd question i know, but my computer is pretty old and the UI1 interface worked after my first install.

When you boot up, press and hold the left shift key, you should hear an acknowledgement beep. This happens a bit into the boot process so don't worry about holding the shift key down right away.

That will run the AV Wizard again for you and let you select UI1.

Some where in the wiki this is documented.
