Is anyone using JavaMo sucessfully?
« on: October 31, 2008, 03:09:15 am »
I was just wonder if anyone had gotten the Java Mobile Orbiter to work with LMCE? It seems like a great idea. I was just wondering if anyone was sucessfully able to get it working and how?

yes, but it is quiet unstable - I couldn't use it effectively on my device - but remember it is very "alpha".

You can find instructions on the wiki if you search for javamo, it is the hit about halfway down the screen.

it needs better keypress handling (repeated keys, key mappings for different devices).
the datagrid lists need to be improved (cancel, ..)
it still has some bugs..

I'm still searching for a brave soul to jump in and help out.

best regards,
Hari

Where can one find the source code for the JavaMO these days ? I see that they are no longer available at the URL mentioned in the wiki (http://svn.charonmedia.org/svn/home/hari/javamo) any more.
