Any DVB-S card that has vdr support and is listed here should work http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVB-S_Devices but you may need to do some manual config.

justdeb - can you post if/when you select and get working a DVB-S card that is easily available here? Esp. if you find a dual tuner one! I have been interested in getting SelecTV who allow you to decode on your own hardware, so I'd be very interested in something that works here!

What service are you intending on using this for?

Hmmm... yes a Dual Tuner DVB-S card would be very nice :-)

Hi All,

I was hoping someone was going to suggest a DVB-S dual tuner card for me.

I am looking at a couple atthe moment and will let you know how it goes.

I will be using selecttv card when i eventually find the right card.

a little too hasty in my post.

I came across this little beauty and think if it can be made to work - it will certainly free up some slots in the pc as well as give us the ability to utilise dual tuners for both DVB-S and DVB-T.

Black and gold BGT3540 (http://shop.blackgold.tv/product/3540.html)

I am currently researching the specs to see whether anyone has got the chipsets working under linux.

Nice card... but no drivers for it i'm afraid.

I know - but it is a nice card and the chipsets are fairly standard. I have posted a couple of questions on various forums about it and i am hoping someoene has managed to get it working in a linux environment.

It is a little too expensive for me at this stage.

I might just play it safe and just get a twinhan card at this stage.
