[RC2] Still don't have luck with GC100
« on: June 12, 2008, 11:09:24 pm »
Hi,

I still cannot configure GC100 to work properly under 0710 RC2.  I followed by that wiki instruction - http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Gc100. Have a look those two screen-shot to see my configuration - http://www.mediafire.com/?tmyozm4mnug and http://www.mediafire.com/?u195iixmmwy.

In the GC100 log I see just those messages:
Code: [Select]

But I don't see any messages in the LaunchGC100.sh.log.

Any suggestion ho to solve that? Does somebody manage to configure IR sensors of GC100 in RC2?

Thanks in advance.

I have set my gc100 (with the b0rked 2.4 firmware) up manually using a browser to use an IP in the 192.168.80.X range, now whenever I do a reinstall I just add it manually (IP+MAC) in the web admin.  The plus side is that the device remains unlocked.  I'm not using the IR at the moment though, but the rs232 port and an input sensor works for me.  I had to replace the "generic I/O sensor" with something more useful though (like the doorbell sensor).

I installed my gc100 using patched gc100-config.pl. It found MAC correctly and set device unlock. The problem with IR functionality. It worked in beta 1 perfectly. But since beta 4 I cannot configure it properly. When the IR command is sent from LinuxMCE admin site the green indicator of IR port is blinking and IT emitter red diode is blinking too. So, the hardware is ok. Something wrong with software. It'd be good to get more information about configuration GC100 from people who implemented new functionality. Hope they tested it with IR too.
