A7NZ66-VM and Linux MCE...
« on: March 07, 2008, 09:23:42 am »
I installed Ubuntu and wanted to use it as a media center, but I had trouble with my A7NZ66-VM motherboard. I've just found Linux MCE and, before I download it, I would like to know if anyone has had trouble running it on an A7NZ66-VM? Is anyone running the same mobo and got it working ok?

What problem do you have? It's very difficult to help you without detailed information about your problem.

I don't have a problem w/ Linux MCE, It's still DLing. I was under the understanding that Linux MCE was based off Ubuntu(or is that one called Ubuntu Media Center  :-\ ) And I had trouble with Ubuntu - Feisty fawn, It would not install drivers for my mobo, I couldn't connect to the network or get sound or anything. I forum searched for a while and found a number of other people with various problems with the exact same mother board. I think it has something to do with the Legacy Drivers for the Nforce 2. I was just inquiring if Linux MCE has the same problems, or similar with this mobo - I've had this mobo along time and had problems with Mandrake 10.,0 suse 9.2, Fedora core and various other Linux flavours. Is anyone else using this mobo and have successfully installed it?
