Building LinuxMCE the hard way
« on: February 14, 2008, 09:00:59 am »
Sorry to any admins, normally I donut post this stuff but I really couldn't resist.

http://www.computerworld.com.au/index.php/id;396147352;pp;2 <---computerworld story
http://hardware.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=08/02/14/0419227&from=rss <---slashdot article, mainly funny for the comments.

'...the outgoing Linux Australia group president's hacked home, in which just about anything from watering the lawn, to opening his blinds, or checking the mail can be controlled through a software environment.'

Maybe we should send this guy a quick install DVD... I personally like the sub-dermal RF-ID chip.

sorry if this is in the wrong place, but theres no general discussion area.

not me if you want rfid that bad just build a ring and include and rfid device in it. Much easier to fix/replace if something goes wrong and just as effective

You might want to have a look at this before putting that chip in your arm: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVEPlxwlzCE

And some more in depth info on the abuse of RFID here (part 1 of a series): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0Maj1I6kH0

Maybe I watch too much 24/Stargate...and they always lose those trackers anyways. I just found the whole setup funny. If he has all that free time we should point him our way.

Don't feel bad, you'll just have to learn how to express yourself properly.  I understand how hard that must be, with your poor verbal skils and all...

To be honest, you thinking that dianetics is reality isn't over my head at all.  In fact it sounds a bit like reality is way over your head.
