Remote controle of md

I have installed LMCE 710B3 and a MD in diskless with USBUIRT. I have a look of remote but I don't know how to make one of them works with my md?
What is the procedure?
I have a universal remote from Marmitek (which works with my TV and my X10).

I'm not sure if that remote works with the usbuirt... but a standard Microsoft MCE remote will for sure... also many other are possible choices when you add a remote to your MD.
