I/R codes for a dish box?
« on: November 04, 2007, 07:08:38 pm »
Does anyone know the i/r codes for a DishPVR 501 satellite receiver.  The web admin learning mode appears to be slightly broken and won't learn the number or channel up/down keys.

 Have a look at

http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/files/dl.cgi?file=prontong/systems/matt-bennett_pcf.zip&area=prontong

This xml file seem to contain the prontocode for your stb (lucky you none of my tv's has pronto codes available and this make the fact that pluto only uses pronto codes to transmit a real pain int the ****).

It would be so much simpler to have lirc transmitting raw codes.

 Hope this helps,

Rafik

The downloaded file does not appear to be a .xml file.

Try renaming the .pcf to .zip and guess what happens ? winrar opens it so it should be fine on linux also

Yes, I did find out on my own...the file in the zip is a .pcf file, not an .xml.  Maybe you should check more closely before giving superfluous information.
