kernel change -> dont boot.

i was changed the 2.6.15-generic kernel to 2.6.16-low-latency version, with dselect. but when i rebooted, the system cant stand up. the loading process is start alwasy, but few seconds later freese and other some seconds later i got a promt named "initramfs" (it looks busybox). if i try boot with the old kernel i got some situation.

how can be repared? i tryed the dvd recovery option but cant help.

Looks like a re-install... lmce-0704 requires the 2.6.15-generic kernel

ok, but i dont delete it the original kernel. i can be select from grub menu, just not work. thats why i can't boot in and restore the generic kernel.

so, the ubuntu is under linuxmce is different something with standard ubuntu? if not, i think this proble is problem of ubuntu/grub not linuxmce.

other: the install dvd make full feature working mythtv config on my htpc, on other disitrib this need at least one week hard work.  and the linuxmce is working at first reboot, i wondering not a litle

so... the probelm is: on the fstab the / is /dev/hda and on the /boot/grub/menu.lst marked with uuid.
