How to use PDA as Orbiter or remote control? Specifically I am trying to find use for Toshiba e310 and e335. (I searched wiki for pda and nothing turned up).

you can connect it to the LAN?
type in the IP for the webadmin on LMCE (the LMCE box's IP address), beneath the login prompt you will see a link to downloading the orbiters.

Well, it does take SDIO card for wireless connection, I don't have one though! I was under the impression that I can use it with infrared.

Infrared isn't supported. The current construction for the orbiter uses a lot of communications between the host and the device. It has to do with graphics for the UI. Bluetooth doesn't give a good experience and IR is too flakey for this kind of thing.
