I have seen this question asked before.

I believe the answer was plutohome was based on Debian.  All of the scripts were written for a Debian based distro. Ubuntu/Kubuntu is a popular Debian based distro now. That makes it a perfect fit for Linuxmce.

I would love to see it on Gentoo or a Gentoo based distro like Sabayon.

That's a shame!

I use Fedora 8 because my PC is way to new and has some setups that are not even supported by Kubuntu 7.10 (tried but failed)
For example i have dmraid setup of my HD's and dmraid is not supported out of the box by Kubuntu.
Let alone the powerful tools that i need for developing websites and applications.
Not to mention the full AIGLX support inside the kernel using the Livna repo for DRI video support (Kubuntu still uses mesa).

If i have some free time i would definably help changing the source so that it works on other distro's as well.
So you may count me in!
