How to restart orbiter on the core in an X11 session
« on: October 25, 2017, 06:27:44 pm »
I've installed LinuxMCE 1404 on a VM, and can access it via the VMWare console.  Orbiter is up and seems to be working fine.

But I'd like to access it over an X11 remote session.  How do I start the orbiter this way?

It is not really intended that way, if you kill the running Orbiter on the device, ssh into it, and run
Code: [Select]
DISPLAY=:0.0 /usr/pluto/bin/Orbiter

you might have success...

What is stopping you from setting up a regular Orbiter and run it directly from a remote machine?!

Nothing, really.  Didn't occur to me.  :)
