Vdr channel switching problem
« on: April 27, 2016, 09:30:04 pm »
I have trouble with VDR. When trying to watch TV on my Hybrid (running 14.04) it shows the splashscreen of VDR...and sits there until I start changing to channel 1. However there are a number of channels that I cannot use anymore for some reason.
I tried to solve this with posde in the chat, but so far nothing...it was all working until about 3/4 days ago..
changing values for epg-scan in the background or even disabling it altogether did not bring any change about.
If anyone of you guys has any insights, please share it with me :-)

Cheers
Mario

There haven't been any changes in the last few days to 1404 debs, so if it worked before, it must be something local that has changed.

PS: I missed one file. You need three files to get the update of EPG information on the Orbiter

http://deb.linuxmce.org/possy/libvdr-status.so.2.2.0 --> into /usr/lib/vdr/plugins
http://deb.linuxmce.org/possy/45-status.conf ---> amend and put into /etc/vdr/conf.d/

and

http://deb.linuxmce.org/possy/VDRUpdateNowPlaying.sh --> into /usr/pluto/bin/ (and make executable)

damn, you won't believe it....I know what caused my troubles watching TV...and it got nothing to do with VDR or Linuxmce at all...brats playing soccer in the backyard.
Since I'm living first floor and my satellite dish is there too...I need not go on, what had happened....
