Hello everyone,

Starting a new thread for pictures from users, showing living at home with a LinuxMCE installation, have fun!

I'll start with my latest pics, playing Tetris in the Living Room.

My setup is getting quite extensive now (or "spiraling out of control" as SWMBO would put it), so I want to get some pictures up soon..... but not until I've decorated.

It's funny, my setup is so clean (much is integrated into furniture/finishes) that there's not much to take pictures of.

Video on the other hand would be a more telling story, so maybe I'll take a stab at some of those.

Yeah, my photos and videos these days are trying to highlight a clean aesthetic, as much as I can. Now that I have a decent house for the first time in a _very_ long time, I am trying to make the most of it.

Just wait... 6 months from now, that clean aesthetic will have disappeared under toys, stuffies, activity centers, and other kid stuff.  And then the arts and crafts phases will come in a few years...

Here are some glamour shots of a Joggler that I have running right next to me on my desk, in my office in the den.

The clock you see above is being generated by orbiter. I've added a clock to the screen saver portions of the Horizontal 4:3 variation (UI1). If you have an Orbiter binary running on a native device (Nokia 770/N800/N900, WebDT, Joggler, something you've put Orbiter onto explicitly, NOT a Proxy Orbiter device!), then you can do the following:

* Update your Designer repo in web admin (advanced > sqlcvs > update)
* Get the attached font, and copy to its font directory (on linux, copy to /usr/share/fonts/truetype, and then run fc-cache... for windows, click to install the font.)
* do a Full Regen of the orbiter you just modified.
* When it comes back up, it will have the clock.

Hi Thom,
I tried updating my webdt to get this clock, but no joy.
- did an sqlCVS update
- copied the font onto the webdt as instructed and ran fc-cache.
- did a full regen of the orbiter and a router reload, just incase

waited for screen to blank - and no clock
have I missed something?

I haven't had my core on-line in quite awhile.  I apologize for hitting such an old post.

After a sqlcvs update and 10.04 update/upgrade, one WebDT has the clock and one doesn't.  The orbiter that does however renders the far right digit off-screen.  I reviewed your instructions and I believe the problem was in:

"Get the attached font..."

I don't follow this, was there a font attached to this post?

Yes, look at that specific post, there is a font called HelveticaNeue-UltraLight.ttf.
