Greenhouse MD
« on: March 24, 2013, 06:54:32 pm »
Hello,

I'm looking to put a MD in my greenhouse to work the automation in there. I would be attaching several serial and onewire devices. I'm thinking of a small form factor board with low heat emission, as I would probably be putting it in a NEMA4 enclosure for moisture, usb connection/s to connect peripherals, internet adaptor with wifi (wifi or both could be separate), low power, and it have some kind memory flash or otherwise. I know there was some work on the raspberry PI but I'm not sure where that is or if that could work. Has anybody else done something similar or have any ideas?

Thanks as always

Jim

I have not done specifically what you are suggesting but this could be accomplished with an rpi.  We're not quite at auto setup capabilities for the rpi yet but I hope to be there very soon.
