Hello,

I freshly install Kubuntu 10.04 i386 then for LMCE 0810, I following instructions from here:

               http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Installing_1004

1) No sound over HDMI

What am I suppose to submit in terms of information hopefully to get a fix in the next release?

    GIGABYTE GA-MA78GPM-DS2H (AMD 780G + SB700 Chipset)

Update: I cancel the Wizard and went in KDE Desktop.  I receive a pop up saying :

KDE Detected that one or more internal sound devices were removed.
Do you want KDE to permanently forget about these devices.
Output: HDA ATI HDMI , ATI HDMI (HDMI Audio Output)

2) Alarm Panel

According to the setup, there are Plug n Play Alarm Panel?  I went to the Tutorial found here :

    http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Category:Tutorials

Regardless if it's plug n play or not, there's not a single tutorial on the alarm panel and can't find a page that lists those 'plug n play' panels.

3) Home Automation Adapter

When it was time for me to 'select' my adapter, I forgot to plug my Insteon adapter... so a message showed up on the screen telling no home auto modules could be found but there was a list of supported adapters.  I didn't see Insteon in the list.  Is it officially supported or not, if so why not put it in the list?

Thank you.

ATI + HDMI. Yuck.
Do not interrupt the wizard. If you want to try something, that may help both of us, http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=11743.0
Download that attached script, when you get to wizard, open a shell and edit that file into existence somewhere, follow the directions to run it, and please paste the output. This will A) tell me what hardware is seen, and B) quite possibly resolve your issue.

2) Alarm Panel

The VistaICM2 driver controlls Honeywell/Ademco panels. A thousand years ago when I looked, the specific models were no longer being manufactured.

Thank you.

Someone has just recently implemented a lot of Insteon stuff (like this week). I have seen chatter about it but know almost nothing.
I never quit... I just ping out.

belanger,

next time, when you have problems in diverse areas of LinuxMCE, please create a post for each of those areas. That way, it is easier for people with specific knowledge to answer specific problems.
