weird screen blanking

I had just installed from LinuxMCE-8.10-23125-i386.iso ..so far everything went spectacularly fine...except I noticed on my MD (Asrock ION330) that the screen is once in a while blanking for a split second.

I checked KDE Desktop Screensaver in the meantime...that one is off, so I don't think the blanking is caused by this.
I also checked the timing...if I'm not mistaken its about 75 minutes max

Does it only happen if KDE is loaded? That was the case for me...

nope....the installation of the md was still in virgin-state...it blanked once or twice in the orbiter...than after a while again while playback. I didn't have this issue with my previous install and I don't think its a hardwareproblem. I did have some blanking some time ago, when I had KDE loaded..way back with 8.10 alpha. This is different...because now my TV reports No Videosignal and if I recall correctly that didn't happen previously.
