Yes.  I am using 810 latest alpha if that makes any difference?   Having read around linuxtv there seemed to be some suggestions that the firmware is not included for the Kworld USB device.  I downloaded one file and placed it in /lib/firmware but it hasnt made any difference.

Andrew do you have a list of the services that should be loaded?  Maybe I could modprobe to ensure they are running?

Andrew,  just wondering if you have had chance to think about this problem any more?  Have you managed to get the Kwolrd dongle working in 810?  Is there any chance you could post the contents of your firmware folder so i can rule that out?

Thanks for all your help so far, I definatly would not have gotten this far without it!

The package linked to from http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Kworld_KW-DVB-T_399U is intended for 0710 and will not work with 0810.

Arr, starts to make a bit more sense (and helps me feel better that im not a complete biff!).  I did try compiling a v4l lib myself (found at Linuxtv) but the card still doesnt work, although i am not 100% sure i completed that correctly.  I did download a piece of firmware named usb-dvb-af9015.fw from here http://www.otit.fi/~crope/v4l-dvb/af9015/af9015_firmware_cutter/firmware_files/ and placed it in lib/firmware (so from my limited knowledge it should be loading at startup).  Im guessing that the problem is firmly with the v4l driver package i have on my system?

I dont suppose you know where i might find a lib that would work for 810 do you?
