I have been trying to re-install my Core for a while and the first step:
"wget -c http://deb.linuxmce.org/ubuntu/new-installer-alpha-latest.tar.gz", is having trouble resolving the IP with the server, timing out and retrying over and over again.

root@LINUXMCE-CORE:/# wget -c http://deb.linuxmce.org/ubuntu/new-installer-alpha-latest.tar.gz

http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/LinuxMCE-0810_beta

doesn't seem to be down.

As per the code I furnished in my original post the the problem still exists.
On the core I'm installing, Kubuntu 810 is installed and updated, from a browser, I can access http://wiki.linuxmce.org, linuxmce.org and forum.linuxmce.org, but it will not "wget" the url at deb.linuxmce.org and download the latest installer using the Konsole.

Adept works fine, I just installed Firefox and it could access all of ubuntu's repositories for the installation.

Any suggestions?

I just attempted to download the beta installer files and ran into the same problem. deb.linuxmce.org is not responding. In the past I haven't had any trouble getting the files. I have to agree with the OP, deb.linuxmce.org appears to be down.

It looks like our IP's might be getting shifted. We're looking into it.

Thanks, I appreciate the reply because after I replied back to you, the forum went down for a while.

just confirming down here also... at least for the 62.99.143.188 IP which seems to be the one that it tries to connect to... 61.9.133.193 seems to respond:

nslookup deb.linuxmce.org
Server:  dns-cust.lon.bigpond.net.au
Address:  61.9.133.193

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    deb.linuxmce.org
Address:  62.99.143.188

ping 62.99.143.188
Pinging 62.99.143.188 with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.

ping 62.99.143.193

Same here (from UK).

Looks like iff the address has changed, DNS needs a kick :)
