Hy all of you for your great job. Linuxmce is a great products.

I see that it's planned to use media tomb instead of fupes as upnp server !!

We are french domotic's integrator and here is our thinking. In the future, I guess that lmce need to be full upnp compatible. I love the idea of a server with movies, music, pictures, rss, and live tv to be fully accessible to every upnp client: control each device, access to ressoucres from each, control domotic ...

We use a windows computer with upnp server like tversity and xbmc, and another upnp server for live TV (satellite and TNT in france). We use the iphone as remote to control a globlacache/irtrans module though wifi (only hardware) and a KNX module interface. So we can control each device in the house and the domotic (home automation) also !

Let me know what you think about it, however, I think that putting a computer in each room should be hard in some times, however everyday, new upnp device appear on the market !

when trying to run mythbackend I had meesage :

Table './mythconverg/settings' is marked as crashed and should be repaired

I just run:
mysqlcheck -u root-p<password> --repair mythconverg

and now it's working again

for people who having trouble with this problem, you can try that:

I booted the desktop live cd image, chose language, install, F6 and entered:

all_generic_ide floppy=off irqpoll

For security reason, I'd like to have lmce to be able to send sms... if someone kill the phone line

I'd like feedback about these options I have under lmce and specialy asterisk:
- FXO + cellsocket
- bluetooth phone connection (Addons (chan_mobile))
- voip gsm gateway
and for example common hardware that is "pnp"/cheap

I have some question to guru,

I have a nas muse with 4 hdd in raid connected in the internal network. However I have plent of documents, professional, personal, electrical stuf... So I have a file server MNAS, and a share called public with all documents !!!!

My lmce core detected it as file server mnas, and share public, and add videos and audio from it (lot s of files), I give user and pass to interact well! I declared to make the content public and not lmce strucure because of other documents stored in nas
Then it sync well video and audio from all the public share!

However I have some trouble:

1/ no pictures at all are detected (I try to sync from admin website) but nothing execpt flickr. What is strange is that if I goes in the media menu with the remote and search for pictures, I can see it in the result list but can't have the pic shown.

2/ the videos and audio menu not show directories, I can have the title list for videos with all videos, but can't browse by directories! is it bbecause I set it up as no lmce directories structure ?

3/ is there a way to llimit the nas share scan to certains directories, I tried manualy in web admin site to declare, instead of 1 public share, 3 like below:
- videos, with share name attribute: public/videos (wich is the path to movie in the nas) and directories videos
- audio, public/musiques (in french ;-) , directories audio
- pictures, public/photos, directories pictures
is the directories parameters working with non lmce structure ??

i was using the beta versions and lot s of trouble with mythtv and sasc, but with the rc and final, I'd like to thanks all people involved in the development for the great job !

I use infinity usb + newcs + sasc + mythtv (0710 B4)

I had some crash problem with mythv. I "fixed" (it is a little bit more stable) it with changing in the mythtv-frontend configuration the port of remote control which was exactly the same I used with newcs (10001).
I don't really know if it will help people however, you can check.

I setup my security camera (controled by the motion detector), that is working.
Then I setup the "active sensor" in admin website.
I set it up as bellow:
* monitor mode unchecked
* disarmed mode: N "unchecked", action "do nothing"
* armed-away: N "checked", action "Security"
* armed-at home: N "checked", action "Announcement"
* sleeping: N "checked", action "Snap picture"

rest as armed away


My problem is that I change the mode and:
1/ no info about the current mode in the top bar
2/ the mode is changed (see in statut of the admin website), but video still record on motion, picture as well, like if there is no difference between mode!! and before, I had the security breach that appears when motion detected, but now I don't have the alert any more, and if I reset the parameters (monitor mode  unchecked, all N checked and all in "security", it come back) !!

It's very painfull. If someone could help I'll be gratefull.

If you Ignore the error you can get to the configure option where you can see the ODBC connection string.   You need the mysql odbc connector, and also configure your LMCE mysql server to accept connections from outside.

Designer also needs skins from the LMCE machine.   Those come from a folder available on the LMCE machine (just copy them).  Sorry I don't remember offhand exactly where.
