it is strange..

my system shows the modules for chipset are loaded in pluto and in the core ....when i started the system the sound worked
but as soon as i updated the system ... no sound

another problem is that modprobe doesn't seem to work in the core and therefore the new alsa can't be installed.. unless i am doing something wrong

i think it is a bug with the drivers for this card....

Users / update 1 md5sum
November 08, 2007, 06:58:08 PM
I tried to manual install the update 001 and the md5 sum didn't match

i did install it manually by downloading the tar and running the install script anyway ... will this work?

most likely there is a fix
goto the KDE desktop

.... look at the MCE center and you should see a button is the center of the view that says "show my ip"
or something similiar

are all the blocks to the right of the titles filled in....if not which r empty

the correct commands are:

cd /usr/pluto/bin
sudo ./LMCEUpdate_DownloadXml.sh
sudo ./LMCEUpdate
(takes some time, but when complete...)
sudo ./LMCEUpdate_Apply.sh

there are a lot of postings to show how to manually update  and it is a bit confusing
this is the closest to being noobie proof
..thanx gaxlang

mark it solved and maybe stickie
