Interesting.

Its one of those things where I think "hey this will/should work now" then I get disappointed

Have you tried using NFS on the freenas box?

I tried getting that to work and it sort of saw an NFS share but still nothing.

Are we the only ones trying to use freenas? ha

Anyone have suggestions?

Can you describe exactly what you did?

I'm still having trouble getting it right.

Thanks.

Installation issues / FreeNAS + LinuxMCE

Hi

No matter what I do I cannot get LMCE to make use of my NAS (using freenas)

it sees it as a windows share but thats as far as it goes.
perhaps I need to set the shares manually as stated in other places
but Ive had no luck with that either

in windows it looks like this:

//nasbox/NASbox/MOVIES
//nasbox/NASbox/MP3s

I need a fresh perspective, as my brain is on overload with reading up on this.
