Phone setup - how to clean-up and restart the setup from scratch
« on: December 03, 2009, 10:44:10 am »
Hello,

I'am trying to setup my phone system (Cisco 7960, swissvoice IP10S, Siemens 470IP SIP phones and ippi.fr VOIP provider), and I had some issues leaving the LinuxMCE and AMP databases not in synch (phone extensions does  not match, some phone are recognize but can not connect...).
I'd like to clean up the mess here and restart the phone install from the begining, wihtout having to reinstall LinuxMCE (to not lost all the other settings).

Do you have any idea how to clean up the phone parameters in LinuxMCE and AMP ?

Thanks in advance.
 Bernard.

Deleting the entries from Wizard > Phones in Web Admin should do the trick.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I'll check that tonigth.

By the way, do you know if it is possible to change the extensions that LinuxMCE has atomatically assigned to each one of my phone.... the logic I want is not LinuxMCE logic - for example I want to swap ext. 202 and 203 in the current setting...

Thanks,
Bernard

Thanks for your help.

I was successfull to clean up the AMP and LinuxMCE databases with the trick proposed.

However, I was not able to change the extensions already assigned by LinuxMCE because the text edit box of the device/phone page of the web interface are locked read only. No edition is possible...
Any idea ?
