Are wiimotes plug and play in 0810
« on: July 29, 2009, 12:36:06 pm »
I have seen the wiki for adding wiimotes but seem to remember thom talking about making them plug and play under 0810.  Has this happened yet at all?

Thanks.

I did the majority of the work needed, however, I still need to do a lot of work. I know that sounds funny, but really, the amount of time it takes to make something like this plug and play, and consistent, while being able to support multiple devices, is very laborious.

Hi Thom,

I played with installing the wiimote on 810 earlier.  It is much easier to get working compared to 710.

I haven't re-installed since re-building 810.

If the wiimote is going to be released in an update, or Beta, would it be better NOT to have any wiimote stuff previously installed?

If you did, would it be better to do a clean install and then connect the wiimote or just remove the packages?

Just trying to avoid potential "my wii wii isn't working" complaints.

Thanks.
