Failed to get LIRC
« on: April 23, 2009, 09:04:03 pm »
Hi, I got lmce to detect my transceiver and it starts installation but "failed to get LIRC Daemon, client library headers and modules" comes up followed by "failed to get pluto dce wrapper".  Any suggestions?

This no longer works for 10.4, Tried to install via the command and it does't work.

There is no where to change to old

deb http://deb.linuxmce.org/ubuntu/ lucid beta2
deb http://deb.linuxmce.org/ubuntu/ 20dev_ubuntu  main
deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/  lucid free non-free
deb http://debian.slimdevices.com/ stable  main
deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu lucid partner
deb mirror://mirrors.ubuntu.com/mirrors.txt  lucid main restricted universe multiverse
deb mirror://mirrors.ubuntu.com/mirrors.txt  lucid-updates main restricted universe multiverse

You can change the mirrors.txt lines to old-releases following this:

Hi Phenigma

Am I changing these right, was already on the wiki page but there is only one  archive   deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu lucid partner, so I think I have changed them correctly

please advise

A couple of things.  The canonical archive is likely not providing software anymore and medibuntu flat out doesn't exist anymore.

Code: [Select]
deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ saucy main restricted

This is how the old-releases entries should look.  Adjust for your distro.
