Starting KDE desktop (Newbie question)
« on: January 06, 2009, 09:51:22 pm »
I have my system running with a core machine built as a core only (non hybrid). The wiki's say that if you build it as a core only you can start the kde desktop later. However, I can't seem to find the instructions as to how to start the kde desktop.
I'm probably missing something really simple here?
Could use a little help with this.

Thanks.

UI1: Left click on "More" on the bottom menu (between your user name and "Power"), left click on "Advanced Options", on the right hand side of teh screen, 4th button down is "KDE desktop", left click this to start kde

UI2:  Left click on the screen to bring up the menu at the bottom,  go to "Advanced", at the top will be "KDE desktop", left click that option to start kde

that help?
