HP Touchsmart as diskless Media Director

I'm trying to boot an HP Touchsmart as a diskless Media Director.  Using Version 0710.  Diskless boot of the Touchsmart gets to:

[    48.7] scsi 0:0:0:0: Direct-Access Multi Flash Reader 1.00 PQ:0 ANSI:0
[ 2458.2] NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: Transmit timed out.

Core is an amd64; I did change to i386 in this media director's admin screen.

Any thoughts? At least a couple folks appear to have gotten this to at least boot ( here: http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=6305.0 and here: http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=6220.0 ).
