Orbiter on Familiar / OPIE
« on: September 05, 2008, 03:48:06 pm »

I am contemplating an attempt to port the oribiter app to the Familiar/OPIE environment so that I can use my ipaq 3950 and 3850 devices with LMCE. Before digging in, I thought I might ask a few questions to the forum:

1) Has anyone done this or tried it?

2) What parts of the LMCE source code tree and docs should I look at initally?

3) Is there a linux desktop orbiter that I might look at as a starting point?

Thanks,

Cafedumonde

For those unfamiliar with OPIE, see http://www.handhelds.org

yeah, was thinking about that, too..

maybe I should flash linux on my 5550..

If you start with the port I can help when you run into troubles.

Somebody already started this for the Zaurus,  I have his email address.  He had gotten everything to compile in OE, but I don't know if everything was working yet.

Search the forum.  might have been using dothedog as a nick.
