Trying out an aOpen 945vxr mini pc as a diskless md, setup ran just fine (it got setup as an amd64 for some reason).
In the AVWizard I choose DVI 720p 60hz, but it reapears as 800X600 60hz. I tried several other resollutions but nothing seems to work.
I was under the impression that this chipset is supposed to be supported OTB by lmce

Any ideas ???

Thnx

Check out setting your xorg.conf to use native resolution EDID=true in 2 different sections.

Hope it works.

Hmmm... which version of LinuxMCE are you using?

We have i945 based MB's that work fine over DVI at 720p... so our experience is that this chipset is supported OTB.

By the way if you have a 64bit capable processor then it will get identified as AMD64

I'm using 0710 RC1 so it was supposed to work OTB, I know. The CPU is a dual core of some sort (I got this to try out, so I'm not sure cpu it is)so my guess is the 64bit is correct.

Thnx for the suggestion but if it's not working OTB I'm not sure I'm going to waste any time on it.

Sounds familiar, seems to have something to do with certain TVs:

And yet you expect others to waste their time looking into your problem, nice attitude!

Zaerc, I'm just trying to figure out what is the broken link in the chain, the TV or the PC.
This has nothing to do With attitude, and I'm not expecting anything from any one.

With that said, thnx for pointing me to those posts as they did not turn up in my search.

On another note, altough it doesn't seem logical for me, other, more expansive models of this pc, altough having the same dvi output, specify it as an hdmi/dvi out put while this model does not specify it, could it be that this output only serves as a vga out ?

Thnx

Itsik did you get this working?

I had a similar problem which I solved by going into the admin website > media directors and changing the MD to i386. Then rebuild the image (wait a few minutes for the message) and boot your MD. This somehow fixed my intel 945 graphics issues.

Hope this helps.

Hi Barney.

I haven't tried it because I gave the minipc back.
I'm about to recieve another minipc, 965 chipset this time, for testing, and if I encounter the same prob, I'll try what you suggested.
I'll post here once I have any findings on that.
Thnx
