re-Routeing audio independant of video
« on: May 10, 2008, 11:37:02 am »
Hello,

I'm hoping to do this:

I have a tv in the bed room with a surround sound system connected to the md, I want to be able to switch the audio from the surround to a set of wireless headphones while keeping the video on the video. I have no free audio jacks on the md but have a spare pci slot to add an audio card if that is what is needed.

Thank you for any help to get this set up :)

Solexious

Are you able plug the headphones into an output of your receiver? If yes, you can tell lmce about your receiver, and just switch it with the remote.

How are you connecting your speakers to the MD?  SPDIF?  Front, Back, etc. stereo jacks?

Does your Surround sound setup have a headphone jack already?  Most speaker sets made for computers do.

Need to know a little bit more about how you have it setup.  :-\
