As he says - use the torrent!!

Took about 4-5 hours for me to download it... But if you do nake sure you continue seeding it after downloading it!!

You'll have to excuse my ignorance, as I'm completely new to Linux, and my burner is on a Win XP machine, so first off, what is a torrent, and I will assume it doesn't work with Windows. I have 7.04 working on another machine now, however am having issues getting it to configure. (Another post) with no burner.

Needless to say this is turning into quite a learning curve, but the interface is fantastic, so going to keep working on it.

Thanks
Ron

a "torrent" has nothing to do with Linux - it is Bit Torrent, a peer-to-peer download system. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitTorrent_client

Do a Google search for Azureus and download it onto your PC, install... then find the link to the torrent file for RC1 on the Wiki article and click it. Your PC will then connect to as many other people as it can find who are also downloading it and pull bits from everyone in the "swarm". This way you share the bandwidth of many different people and so get a much faster download rate. Once it is downloaded, leave your Bit Torrent client (Azureus) open as long as you can so that other people can upload from you. It is a cooperative environment that relies on people giving at least as much as they get...

Thanks Folks:
You have already been a great help, and as this is very new for me, I'll attempt to search first then ask questions. I will say that this MCE flat blows away MS-MCE. The main reason I want to convert so to speak is I got tired of losing my thumbnails every time another MS-MCE log onto my video files on the server. I just happened to stumble on LMCE and so far I'm impressed. The configuration is a little tougher, but as I said, it's a learning curve.

Thanks Again:
Ron
