Failed to regenerate skin for Orbiter!!

New to linuxMCE - just installed it today from the Quick Install DVD.  It seemed to install ok but the Media station will not start.  I get the launch manager on screen ok but the orbiter fails.  It says:
OrbiterGen run complete
Failed to regenerate skin for Orbiter!!

If I try to start the media station from the launch manager I get this warning:
Warning: you are using the nv driver.  It is recommended that you use the nvidia driver.
Warning: you try to run the UI2 with mask on the "nv" driver. Performance will be affected.
Do you want to run helper scripts to try to fix it?

If I hit yes it doesn't fix it and if I hit no it hangs.

Can someone tell me how to change the video driver to the nvidia closed driver? I had a look through the admin web site but couldn't find it.  I'm hoping this is what the problem is - any other help is greatly appreciated.
I'm using a GeForce 7300 GT.
