Does anyone now why my software packages list is empty ever since install (0710b3). I know I can install dvdcss from the command line but I'm hoping that there is a way that I can force the software packages to be downloaded. Is there a script that I can run? Thanks.

Is your "external" network in the admin site eth0 and "internal" eth1?
Has your external NIC got an IP address from your broadband DHCP server (if that's how you have it set up)?
Are both NICs (assuming you have 2) on different LAN segments and cannot talk to each other?
Can you browse the Internet from your LMCE?

b3 seems to be particularly sensitive to your NIC setup - I have had this problem several times, and invariably it has been because my external NIC was set to eth1 and internal to eth2. As soon as I worked out how to correct this, the software popped up in the screen and I could download/install it in seconds.,..

I only have one nic. The internal (eth0) is configured with an IP address from my router and the external (eth1) is set to the default (192.168.80.1). I can surf the web on other computers on the 80.xxx network. I will check to see if I can directly from the core, but I'm assuming that I can.

shot in the dark, but are you having any other issues?? are new flickr images being downloaded automatically?? are all your services starting??  in particular appserver??

lon22

Flickr is downloading new images. I think appserver is fine. The only other issue that I have is when I click on the computing button,, the orbiter crashes and causes a router reload.

lon22

I can access the internet directly from the core. Any other suggestions?

Actually it is the other way around, the internal is 192.168.80.1 and the external is 192.168.1.100.

That would be correct..   and I'm assuming since you can browse the internet, your gateway for your core is the address of your router.. probably 192.168.1.1...  it should be working, I'm at a loss...  I had the same problem, however flickr images were not downloading and appserver would not start...  I could still browse the internet..  I have a 64-bit cpu and had installed the 64-bit version of lmce but had the above problems...  I installed the 32-bit version and everything works now..

I'm assuming you mean eth0 and eth0:1, as there usually will be no eth1 unless you have 2 nics in your machine.

Yes, mine says eth0 and eth0:0 though.
