im having trouble watching some newer movies through lmce.  they play from the disk but when copied the menus and previews work but when loading the accual movie i get a css error.  the accual movie files have also changed from .vob to .ifo...  any way to fix this or any idea if this is addressed in 7.10??

A list of the DVD's & region would be useful ;-)

Do you use LMCE to rip the movies? it sounds like you are using some other program.
LMCE makes isos (.dvd)

I've found one disk that seems to have the problem described:

  Rush Hour 3
  New Line 2-Disc Platinum Series
  disc 1

Both LCME 0710B2 and K3b report CSS key problem.

rush hour 3 was one that gave me the most trouble..  also curse of the golden flower and venus...  both with the same effect..  my lmce isnt ripping through the gui for some reason so i use kd3 to rip for now (waiting for 7.10 before i go messing everything up trying to fix it) but they do the same thing when i use disk_copy through the terminal..  i'm triing today to rip using dvdfab through windows (my fall back program thats good about ripping anything) but id hate to have to go back and forth between windows..  anyone know if wine plays nice with lmce??

dvdfab was able to rip and play the dvd through linux..  i set up dvdfab through wine and an trying it now..  so far seems to be ripping and changing folders and such fine...

on a side note i am have trouble moving large files (3gb+) from one drive to another..  get part ways and then the computer reboot and ussually get some message before linux kicks in about the drive being mounted 28 times and having to check it..  ive posted on the ubuntu forums but havent gotten any replies..  any ideas here??  power cords extra are pluged in and secure

dvd wise i recomend dvdfab on windows..  lets you rip full movies, main, customize menus, combine split write to iso, avi...  pretty much anything youd want to do..  i like dvdshrink but there are times that dvdshrink hasnt been able to crack the codes and dvdfab went right through them
